We have weekly service professionals that maintain the property and may arrive during your stay. Their schedule is as follows so they don't surprise you:
Close the doors: Our property has a lot of adorable tree frogs (as well as other critters and an occasional bee). We suggest keeping the doors closed, especially during the hottest parts of the day and at sunset when the frogs like to find their way inside.
Use doorstoppers: When you do have the outer doors open, the wind can create a strong windtunnel through the house. Please utilize the doorstoppers located throughout the house. Please keep them in the original locations as there should be one per door/room.
Secure open food in pantry: Please properly contain open food items in the pantry, otherwise ants may arrive.
No glass by the pool: Please use the patio-friendly plastic glasses in and around the pool.
Our kitchen is fully stocked with cookware and utensils. All devices should be fairly straightforward to use. Here are some specifics you might want to know:
The dishwasher: Press the normal wash button and start, then close the machine and it will start. When possible handwash the clear plastic wine glasses & tumblers as the machine gets very hot and makes the plastic cloudy/cracked.
The coffee machine: Filters and ground coffee are available in the cabinet below the machine on the top shelf. Fill machine with water, put filter in, fill 2/3 full of coffee or to desired strength, and press brew button
The oven: The hood fan is controlled by the remote on the right side of the oven, it is magnetically attached to the wall - please return it to its place after use.
The microwave: It is located in the closet/pantry near the hall bathroom. Press the start button and it will begin running, press start multiple times to increment the time desired.
Blender: Located in the cabinet, please rinse after use.
You’ll find the thermostat in the hall next to the kitchen.
Please keep doors closed to ensure maximum efficiency. We recommend a setting of 72F / 22C which we find keeps the place at a comfortable temperature.
The washing machine/dryer can be found in the first door as you enter the porch, before the primary bedroom
To operate the machines fill with clothes and detergent (check the amount based on your load) and hit start
The dryers are located above the washing machines and can be operated by selecting your desired setting and pressing start
Extra pillows, linens and towels can be found in the office closet, as well as the laundry room.
Pool towels can be found in the office closet.
A car charger is available for use. It is located on the back/right corner of the barn and is Rivian brand. Please return it to the holder once finished.
You’re welcome to use our smart projector for your personal use.
You’ll find the cube-shaped black projector, adapter and remote in the cabinet in the living room. This portable projector has apps including YouTube TV, Disney+ and Netflix and can be projected onto interior or exterior surfaces - just please remember to bring back inside at night as the sprinklers run in the morning!
If you log into any streaming services please log out before you head off.
You’re more than welcome to use our Sonos speakers. There are two portable speakers located on the kitchen counter next to the range. They can be used indoors or out and will sync their music to play simultaneously. You can connect any device via bluetooth or the Sonos app. We ask you to be mindful about volumes, especially late at night (after 10pm).
Please also be aware that sprinklers run in the morning, so please do not leave any electronics on the lawn overnight.
Our home has two working fireplaces - one indoors and one out.
Our indoor fireplace is gas operated and does not require wood. The gas key is located to the left of the fireplace, turn it on and immediately light with a long lighter. You can find lighters and matches in the top drawer to the left of the kitchen sink.
Our outdoor fireplace is wood burning. We supply logs and they can be found behind the pool structure (directly behind the fireplace) accessible via the gate behind the arbor dining table. There is extra wood behind the far side of the barn as well. Please take extra care when using the fireplace. It’s especially important to make sure that the fire is completely extinguished before you head to bed.
Feel free to roast s'mores in the outdoor fireplace, however clean up any mess before bed to avoid critters.
Pool towels can be found in the basket in the kitchen and extras are in the office/3rd bedroom closet.
To open the pool cover, the switch is located on the outer wall on the left side of the pool shade structure. To open press the switch down and hold until the pool is completely open, to close the cover press and hold the switch up until the cover is fully closed. Never leave the cover partially open under any circumstances as this is a drowning hazard.
To access the controls for the pool or spa, there is a touch panel located behind the outdoor bar. For the heat, note that only one area (pool or jacuzzi) can be heated at a given time. Press the power icon for which area you'd like to use and control the temperature, lights, and jets as preferred. If the "Solar Only" or "Solar Preferred" option is selected and the heat or jets do not seem strong enough, tap the "Heater" option instead.

We have two outdoor grills for your use: a griddle and a wood burning Santa Maria grill.
Santa Maria Grill: Wood can be found behind the pool structure, accessible via the gate behind the dining table under the arbor. We suggest putting a base of charcoal beneath 2-3 pieces of wood, and lighting about 45 mins before you would like to cook to let the embers burn down.
Blackstone Griddle: Great for burgers and breakfast! Turn on the propane tank, turn on the dials and press the ignition button. Please turn off the propane line and wipe down the griddle (once cool!) after use.
There are multiple places to dine outside. Sun loungers and an outdoor sofa with cushions are also available for your use. Please note that sprinklers run in the morning so please do not leave furniture or items that should not get wet out on the lawn overnight.
Please return furniture to its original location before your departure.

There is extra wood behind the far side of the barn as well. There is a gas switch for this fireplace as well, located behind the outdoor sofa to the left of the fireplace. Once the wood has caught fire, turn off the gas.
Please take extra care when using the fireplace. It’s especially important to make sure that the fire is completely extinguished before you head to bed. There is a metal can to dispose of excess ashes should you need it.

Unfortunately there are no longer chickens living in the coop, so there are no eggs for collection. Please keep children out of the coop for their own safety.
We own the hill that the house is looking at. Perched at the top you will find Adirondack chairs. This is a lovely place to sit and enjoy valley and mountain views. While there is a firepit, please do not burn a fire. It's advisable to wear close toed shoes when hiking up the hill as there are burs.
Located at the bottom of our property, to the right of our entry gate is a tire and tree swing. Feel free to take the kids on a short hike to explore the huge tree and swings!
Our vegetable garden is located behind the barn and is open for you to enjoy! Please feel free to tend the garden and pick ripe vegetables or fruit for your own farm to table experience. Please be kind and don't take more than you need so others after you can also enjoy. Thank you!
